Cisco Aironet 1530 Series Access Points

Operators need more efficient access point devices with comprehensive features combined with a small, unobtrusive design. The Cisco Aironet 1530 Series delivers these features in an outdoor access point that is perfect for any urban setting. The Aironet 1530 Series consists of two strong models that can pack a punch in a small form factor. Both devices mainly differ in antenna position: Cisco Aironet 1530I (integrated antennas) and Cisco Aironet 1530E (external antennas).

CISCO Aironet 1530 Series: Innovative Outdoor Access Points

  • flexible: multiple operational modes
  • sleek: most compact design and unobtrusive size
  • robust: withstand the most rough outdoor conditions
  • innovative: excellent Cisco Flexible Antenna Port technology

Cisco Aironet 1530 Series Access Points are small and light enough to be discreetly mounted on building facades or street light poles. The 1530I model is just 9 x 7 x 4 inches and weighs 5 pounds.

One of Cisco’s engineering innovations is the exceptional Cisco Flexible Antenna Port technology which enables the same antenna ports to be used for two connection variants. At first dual-band antennas can decrease the antenna footprint and secondly single-band antennas can optimize radio coverage. This antenna change can be made on the fly and reduce sparing costs.

All outstanding Wi-Fi features customers expect from Cisco including BandSelect, radio resource management and VideoStream for high-quality video performance, are provided by the Cisco Aironet 1530 Series. The access point provides controller-based or standalone operation and Wi-Fi connectivity simultaneous to clients on two radios (2.4-GHz and 5-GHz).
