DATALOGIC MEMOR 20: Latest Technology for First-class Mobile Computing

The handheld terminal Memor 20 by Datalogic was developed to enhance business workflows. It is equipped with a 2.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon SD660 octa-core processor and provides 4 GB RAM and 64 GB Flash memory. The Android 9 operating system with Google GMS and AER (Android Enterprise Recommended) offers a powerful platform for business applications enabling upgrades for at least 2 following versions. AER certification includes regular security patches and extended management functionalities. Datalogic’s software tools also facilitate deployment and scaling of mobile devices. The Datalogic Memor 20 is compatible with various MDM solutions, such as SOTI MobiControl, VMWare AirWatch, Ivanti Avalanche, 42Gears SureMDM and Microsoft Intune. If required, there is a Non-GMS version available as well. The Datalogic Memor 20 comes with a fingerprint sensor for secure access.

The Datalogic Memor 20 MDA is a mobile computing solution for various applications. Because of its smart design, it is ideal for customer-facing applications, for example in the retail sector. However, its robust construction also enables the use in manufacturing, warehousing or transport and logistics. Additionally, there is a white colored healthcare version available. The compact mobile computer is resistant against disinfectants as well as industrial oils. It survives drops from a height of 1.2 m without problems and even from 1.8 m with a protective rubber boot. The housing is sealed against the ingress of dust and liquids complying with protection classes IP65 and IP67. The new Memor 20 by Datalogic comes with a strong battery, lasting for more than 12 hours per charge. Convenient and reliable wireless charging is one of the many advantages of the Memor 20 handheld. Batteries are user-replaceable, ensuring around-the-clock operation of the mobile computers. The patent-pending “Safe Swap” technology shows when it is safe to change batteries while the device is running by means of indicator LEDs. Fast charging is possible within less than 3 hours.

For convenient and efficient data collection, the Datalogic Memor 20 is equipped with a high-performance imager enabling the capture of 1D, 2D, postal, stacked and digital watermark codes. An optional pistol grip is ideal for scan-intensive tasks. Datalogic’s patented “Green Spot” technology provides good-read confirmation by means of a green light appearing on the barcode after a successful scan. This feedback method is ideal for noisy environments but also for particularly quiet environments, for example, in healthcare. The Memor 20 handheld terminal also comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera.

The brilliant 5.7-inch Full HD display of the Memor 20, with 750 Nits brightness, is suitable for in- and outdoor use. Convenient operation is ensured, as the multi-touch display with 18:9 format provides a large operating surface. Protection against scratches and other mechanical damage is ensured with Gorilla Glass 3. An additional small display on the top informs the user at a glance, showing notifications, alerts and caller IDs. Datalogic’s “Soft Spot” is a customizable virtual function key that can be positioned as required on the display. The “Soft Spot” enables a user-oriented access to any application or the scan function.

The mobile terminal Memor 20 by Datalogic comes with versatile communications options. There are WiFi-only versions available (standard and healthcare). They provide dual-band WLAN with 2 x 2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.0 LE and NFC. Another option is the model with dual-band WLAN, LTE Advanced (with dual SIM card slot) and Assisted GPS as well as Bluetooth 5.0 LE and NFC. Integrated Interfaces are USB-C and High-Speed USB 3.1 Host + Client. The charging cradles are available as standard versions or smart docks. The smart docks provide a locking feature preventing unauthorized access. The devices can be unlocked with a pattern, password or fingerprint. By means of an included USB/Ethernet adapter, wired Gigabit Ethernet connectivity is possible via the 3-slot smart dock.
