NEWLAND MT90 ORCA PRO: Robust Handheld for Retail, Logistics and Warehousing
Smooth workflows with smart mobile devices: Today’s complex working processes require reliable data collection as well as processing. However, juggling data can be a real challenge. Mobile data terminals, such as the Newland MT90 Orca Pro ensure smooth and transparent workflows, for example, in goods receiving, warehousing, or shipping departments. The MT90 Orca Pro also provides an optimal solution for order picking. It enables efficient capture of all common barcodes and QR codes.
Newland’s Acuscan applicationhelps to scan barcodes precisely. This feature is extremely useful when barcodes need to be selected from a list or when codes are printed close to each other. Especially for order picking, the MT90 Orca Pro is therefore a valuable tool.
For comfortable use, the MT90 Orca Pro has two physical scan buttons as well as a virtual scan trigger. A pistol grip (PG90) is available for scan intensive tasks. Some applications may require a long-range pistol grip (EX90) or an RFID pistol grip (UR90), which are both also available as accessories.
Handling and features: The design of the Newland MT90 Orca Pro is based on that of a smartphone. Its 5-inch touch display offers a pleasant user interface.
The portable data terminal is equipped with a Qualcomm octa-core processor (64 bit, 1.8 GHz) and provides 4 GB RAM and 64 GB Flash. Storage capacity can be extended by up to 128 GB with a MicroSD card.
The MT90 Orca Pro mobile computer runs the Android 10 operating system. Google Mobile Services (GMS) can be used if desired. MDM software from third-party providers, for example from SOTI or VMware (Airwatch), are compatible.
Numerous interfaces are integrated for wireless voice and data communication: WLAN, LTE, GPS and Bluetooth.
The mobile terminal is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera.
Long battery runtimes and robust design: The MT90 Orca Pro can be used with either a standard or a high-performance battery. The batteries have a quick-charge function and are replaceable. Thus, the terminal can be used practically 24/7. The display is protected against damage by Gorilla glass. The MT90 Orca Pro can withstand drops from a height of 1.5 m and is sealed against the ingress of dust and water in accordance with protection class IP65. It can be used at temperatures between -20 °C and +55 °C.
