The mobile computer Unitech EA510HC was designed for medical environments. It enables high-class data collection, ensuring correct patient and specimen identification. The integrated imager captures all common 1D and 2D barcodes as well as DotCode. It is possible to scan multiple barcodes simultaneously or to pick one barcode from a list. The barcode scanner is OCR-enabled. The EA510HC PDA by Unitech is also equipped with a UHF RFID reader. 2 scan buttons at either side of the device ensure convenient use. Additionally, the healthcare device comes with a 16-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera.
Reliable data processing is essential for mobile computing solutions in the medical sector. The Unitech EA510HC terminal is equipped with an advanced 2.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor with 64-bit architecture. 4 GB DDR4 RAM and 64 GB ROM memory can be extended by up to 128 GB with a MicroSD/TF card. The EA510HC handheld runs the Android 9 operating system and is upgradeable through to Android 11, ensuring a future-proof investment. Third-party MDM solutions provided by AirWatch and SOTI are supported.
Multiple communications options allow wireless data access and transfer, which contributes to seamless processes. The mobile terminal EA510HC by Unitech provides dual-band WiFi with 2 x 2 MIMO technology, dual-SIM 4G LTE and Bluetooth 5.0 with up to 240 m radio range as well as GPS. Medical personnel can directly access relevant data, such as patient files or medication plans etc. A high level of WLAN security is ensured. The smart handheld supports Voice over LTE (VoLTE) solutions, which is ideal, for example, for video conferences.
The Unitech EA510HC healthcare terminal comes with a large 5.7-inch display that provides HD quality. Because of its high brightness, it is perfectly viewable outside. The terminal can be operated with gloves and when it gets wet. For additional convenience, the handheld supports voice control and text-to-speech (TTS). An integrated fingerprint reader ensures secure access.
Devices that are used in healthcare must meet the high hygiene standards required. This is why the housing of the Unitech EA510HC is made of antimicrobial materials according to ISO 22196. The device can be cleaned with harsh disinfectants to prevent the spread of bacteria. Available charging stations are also disinfectant-ready.
In busy work environments, such as hospitals, it may happen that devices accidentally drop to the floor or that water or liquids are spilled on them. The robust handheld Unitech EA510HC is able to withstand drops from a height of 1.5 m and is sealed against the ingress of dust and water according to protection class IP67. It can be operated within a temperature range from -20 °C to +60 °C. The mobile data terminal is equipped with a rechargeable and replaceable battery. Quick Charging 4.0 technology ensures that the device is fully charged within 3 hours.
