NORDIC ID HH85: High-volume Data Acquisition

The antennas of the Nordic ID NUR2-IW RFID reader module have a linear polarization and it can be switched between horizontal and vertical orientation, depending on the alignment of the tags. It is also possible to enable both antennas to achieve maximum performance, even if tags are in random positions. The user receives clear visual and haptic feedback.
The Nordic ID HH85 data collection terminal also provides a 2D imager for the capture of linear and QR codes. A clearly visible LED aimer switches between scan line and aiming dot automatically and enables intuitive barcode reading. The HH85 pistol grip is equipped with a trigger to enable convenient high-volume data collection and its light weight prevents hand and wrist fatigue. A 5-megapixel rear camera can be used for documentation purposes.
The large 4.7-inch display of the HH85 terminal by Nordic ID provides HD quality and is daylight readable. The capacitive touch screen is glove-enabled and protected against damage or scratches with Gorilla Glass 3. The Nordic ID HH85 mobile touch computer with RFID reader is equipped with an ARM Cortex-A53 octa-core processor, offering 2 GB RAM and 16 GB Flash. Via MicroSD card, storage capacity can be extended. The Nordic ID HH85 runs Android 9. It does not support GMS, in order to protect user privacy. However, Nordic ID provides an App Center for the installation of Nordic ID as well as open source software tools.
The Nordic ID HH85 mobile computer offers dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and, if required, there is a version with LTE and GPS available as well. For long working hours, the Nordic ID HH85 terminal comes with a powerful rechargeable battery, allowing up to 18 hours of intensive use. The battery can be changed while the device is running (hot swap).
Busy and challenging environments are what the Nordic ID HH85 handheld terminal with gun grip was designed for. It withstands drops from a height of 1.6 m and is sealed against the ingress of dust and water complying with protection class IP65. The operation temperature range reaches from -20 °C to +55 °C.
