PROGLOVE MARK 2: A New Standard for Mobile Data Acquisition – Wearables

Discover the MARK 2 wearable barcode scanner by ProGlove. The lightweight device (only 39 g) is comfortable to handle. It reads 1D and 2D barcodes at twice the speed of its predecessor. The compact scanner can be attached either to a wrist cuff, which are available for both right- or left-handers. The wearable imager allows workers to fully concentrate on the task at hand without the need for picking up additional devices. The scanner can be conveniently triggered with the thumb. After successful data capture, the user receives audible, visual and haptic good-read feedback. Depending on business needs, one of the two versions of the ProGlove MARK 2 can be selected: mid-range or standard range. Both variants are equipped with Bluetooth Low Energy. For optimized data transmission, ProGlove also offers an access point which can be connected to a host device either with USB or RS-232. It enables data transmission via a sub-1 GHz frequency (868 MHz) and ensures more stable and secure data communication. A fully charged battery lasts for up to 16 hours or about 6.000 scans. The standard range model is ideal for distances of up to 80 cm, while the mid-range version provides a reading range between 30 and 150 cm. Besides 1D and 2D barcodes, the standard-range version is also able to read DPM codes.

The particularly robust design of the ProGlove MARK 2 makes it suitable for various industries, such as automotive, transport and logistics, warehousing or manufacturing. It is sealed against the ingress of dust and water according to protection class IP54. The sturdy data capturing device can withstand drops from a height of up to 2 m to concrete. The charging station is downward compatible with the MARK One S barcode scanner. Gloves and wrist cuffs as well as access points of the MARK One S are also compatible and can be used with the new MARK 2 wearable imager.
