RUGGON RUGGVMC VX-601: Ultra-Rugged In-Vehicle Computing Solution

RuggON specializes in constructing hard-wearing mobile computers for industrial applications. The RuggVMC VX-601 terminal is designed for in-vehicle use and provides latest wireless data technology, such as WLAN 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.0 class 2. 4G LTE and GNSS are available as well, so that optimal network coverage, accurate positioning and reliable data transmission are ensured.

The RuggON RuggVMC VX-601 computer terminal is equipped with a high-performance 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5 6300U CPU (opt. Intel Celeron 3955U, 2 GHz) with 4 GB DDR3L (expandable to 8 GB) and 64 GB M.2 storage. An SD slot enables additional storage expansion. The VX-601 terminal supports the Windows platform and runs either 10 IoT Enterprise or 7 Professional Embedded operating systems. For convenient use, the included DashON management software comes with a well-structured layout and allows access to various configuration settings as well as status information, for example: system status, vehicle status, power management and GPS settings.

Irrespective of lighting conditions, the RuggON RuggVMC VX-601 terminal display is always perfectly readable. Its 12.1-inch screen is exceptionally bright (up to 1200 nits) and adjusts to surrounding light automatically. The resistive touchscreen is glove-enabled. A projected capacitive touchscreen is available on request. For the use in refrigerated facilities, a defroster function can be integrated as option. 9 user-configurable keys enable instant access to frequently used applications.

The RuggON RuggVMC VX-601 vehicle-mounted terminal provides excellent energy management. It comes with ignition sense functionality and backup battery to ensure uninterruptible power supply (UPS). Multiple ports offer maximum flexibility.

As the RuggVMC VX-601 computer terminal by RuggON is designed for rough environments, it is particularly sturdy. The ultra-rugged device complies with protection class IP66 and MIL-STD-810G standards. The terminal endures temperatures from -30 °C to +50 °C. It is salt fog resistant and can, if required, be equipped with waterproof external connectors.
