SATO PV SERIES: Handy Mobile Printing Solution

Where can the PV3 and PV4 mobile label printers be used? The two handy printers process a variety of media types, such as continuous labels, fanfold labels, receipt rolls, media with black mark or gap. The PV4 is additionally able to print tags. Printing labels on the spot is convenient and saves time. Therefore, SATO’s PV series’ printers are ideal to enhance workflows in retail, transportation and logistics, manufacturing, healthcare, and delivery.

Are the printers user-friendly? The PV3 and PV4 from SATO are very compact and can be attached to a belt or carried with a shoulder strap. It is perfectly easy to change media. The printers come with a display. Clear menu navigation, four operating buttons and status LEDs ensure intuitive operation.

What is the performance of the PV3 and PV4 mobile printers? Both label printers use the direct thermal printing method and offer a print resolution of 203 dpi. They achieve a print speed of 127 mm/s or 5 ips. The maximum print width of the 4-inch PV4 printer is 104 mm. The 3-inch PV3 printer enables a maximum print width of 72 mm. Both mobile printers are equipped with 128 MB RAM and 256 MB storage. They come with a powerful, replaceable Li-ion battery.

Can the devices be connected wirelessly? The PV3 and PV4 label printers are equipped with Bluetooth. The PV4 offers Wi-Fi connectivity as standard, the PV3 as option. Both printers have a USB 2.0 port, the PV4 additionally provides a serial interface (RS-232).

Are the mobile printers easy to integrate? SDKs for iOS, Android, Windows and Linux make it easy to integrate the two SATO label printers into existing systems. They are able to emulate third-party printer languages. Printer languages: SLCS, BPL-Z, BPL-C.

Are the PV3 and PV4 label printers suitable for industrial environments? The handy label printers come with a robust polycarbonate casing. Rubber-coated edges absorb shocks and soften impacts. This makes the devices extremely drop-resistant: 1.8 m (PV4) and 2.1 m (PV3). They are protected against water and dust according to protection class IP54.
