UNITECH MS652+: Hands Free Ring Scanner

The Unitech MS652+ ring scanner presents an optimal choice for tasks, where workers need both hands. The scanner comes with a trigger button at the side that can be operated with the thumb. The device is rotatable to suit both, right- and left-handed persons. For improved stability, the ring scanner MS652+ is attached to two fingers with an adjustable strap which can also be worn over a glove.

A first-class scan engine ensures fast and accurate acquisition of 1D and 2D barcodes. It is able to read from paper or display. After a barcode has been successfully scanned, the user receives acoustic, haptic and visual good-read confirmation. The Unitech MS652+ wearable scanner comes with Bluetooth Low Energy 4.2 providing a signal range of up to 10 m. The scanner can easily be paired with mobile devices, such as handheld terminals or tablets, using iOS or Android operating systems via NFC.

It is possible to use the MS652+ ring scanner in trigger mode, presentation mode, batch mode or auto mode. In auto mode, acquired data is stored on the device in the case that it leaves the radio range and transfers it to the host system automatically as soon as it is back in range. This prevents the loss of data and allows uninterrupted use. The scanner provides 7.5 MB of Flash memory which is enough capacity to store up to 590,000 EAN13 codes. The integrated USB drive also enables configuration of the devices, easy data access and uncomplicated firmware updates. The Unitech MS652+ ring scanner can be connected to Android, iOS or Windows host systems.

The ring scanner MS652+ by Unitech was designed for demanding, scan-intensive work processes. It can withstand drops from a height of 1.5 m and is sealed against the ingress of dust and water according to protection class IP42. The user-replaceable battery pack provides power for up to 13 hours per charge.
