ZEBRA EC30: Keep Your Workforce Connected

The mobile terminal EC30 by Zebra provides multiple useful features to enhance business efficiency and offer superior service quality to your customers. The compact device is suitable for the retail as well as the hospitality sector. It is, for example, ideal for replenishment, order picking, price check or product search, inventory management, guest management or mobile hotel check-in. The pocketable mobile computer EC30 can be used with various Workforce Connect PTT applications as option. PTT is a walkie-talkie function that allows voice communication at the push of a button. The basic application Workforce Connect PTT Express enables internal one-to-one calls or the connection of small groups via WLAN. It can be upgraded to Workforce Connect PTT Pro, which offers additional features, such as larger group calls, enterprise-class security and Message of the Day (MOTD) text messaging via WLAN or mobile networks. Therefore, Workforce Connect PTT Pro also enables push-to-talk calls outside the facility. With Workforce Connect Voice, it is possible to use the Zebra EC30 as cordless PBX phone.

Easy operation of the Zebra EC30 handheld terminal is ensured with its 3-inch capacitive touch color display. It can be operated with fingers or gloves and allows simple navigation. Because of its light weight and compact design, the EC30 is always at hand. To always be within easy reach, it can be taken along in a pocket, carried around the neck on a lanyard or attached to the arm or to the belt. As the mobile computer EC30 by Zebra is intended for everyday use, it is particularly robust. It can withstand drops from a height of 1.2 m and is sealed against the ingress of dust and water in accordance with protection class IP54. The integrated barcode scanner reads 1D and 2D barcode data regardless of the barcode condition so that no additional device is required.

The Zebra EC30 mobile computer is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660, a 2.2 GHz octa-core CPU providing 4 GB SDRAM and 32 GB eMMC Flash memory. As part of Zebra’s Mobility DNA, Mobility Extensions (Mx) turns Android into an enterprise-ready operating system, adding security and management features. The Mobility DNA suite also comprises development and productivity tools as well as device diagnostics to optimize performance and functionality. It is possible to selectively disable any standard Google Mobile Services (GMS) applications and services. Mobility DNA also enables fast integration into existing systems.

For optimal usability, the Zebra EC30 mobile PDA provides leading-edge Wi-Fi connectivity with integrated 2×2 MU-MIMO antennas (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/r/k/d/h/i/w) and Bluetooth 5.0 (BLE). A high-performance battery ensures long battery runtimes of 8 to 10 hours per charge. There are variable charging stations available: 2-slot or 10-slot cradles.
